María Clemencia Castro V.

Psychologist and psychoanalyst with a Masters in Psychoanalysis, Culture and Social Links from the Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia. She is a Doctoral Candidate in Philosophy at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain and a tenured professor in the Psychology Department at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia where she also directs the Observatory of Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Process and the Research Project on Psychoanalysis, Violence and War assigned to the School for Study of Psychoanalysis and Culture. She has written several books and articles on war and demobilization including: Trasgresion, goce y profanacion. Contribuciones del psicoanálisis al estudio de la violencia y la guerra, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, 2005; Del ideal y el goce. Logicas de la subjetividad en la vía guerrillera y avatares en el paso a la vida civil, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Human Sciences Department, Psychology Department, 2001.
