Retired soldier from the National Army of Colombia. Joined a the age of 19, remained in the group for 4 years.
This is the process of making the cocaine paste.
The man is using a scythe to grind the leaves. After grinding, cement and lime are added. Then, they put it in barrels with gasoline and wait for a while for it to ferment.
The leaves get soaked with gasoline; there is a person who drains them and a person who presses them, in other words, removing the last drop of gasoline.
Then they pour sulfuric acid with water, which causes the coca to separate from the gasoline and to remain in the water.
Leaves get burned. They throw them away near a creek, over time the leaf releases chemicals and that falls into the waters. They are contaminated, it can no longer be drunk.
