Compañero Alexander’s end

They are holding a court martial. This guy had been court-martialed twice before and he would not get away with a third one.

He was messing around with a woman already engaged with another fellow, a militia man. The commander got us together and stated that no vote was required; the court martial had been declared. The commander decided to bring him before the firing squad.

This time I was chosen to dig the hole. The commander pointed at me. I picked up the shovel… Another guy and myself would dig the hole.

In guerrilla warfare, mistakes are paid with death. And all those things get you thinking … a lot of times many feel discouraged and that is why they escape.
