Men with no heart

Ex-combatant of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia –FARC-EP–. Joined at the age of 23, remained in the group for 3 years.

In war, no matter on which side you are, your heart changes… It stops being a heart and turns into stone…

This was an order given to kill alleged paramilitary. They were left there. We went and looked. There they were, as I depicted in the painting.

Chills kept running through my entire body as I painted… they wouldn’t stop.
