This is my uncle’s farm, planted with coca. The FARC wanted to take it away from him, as it was very prosperous.

Every time they were going to kill him, his daughter, 15 years old, hugged him to protect him. He asked the guerrilla commander to let him take his daughter to her mom, in the city of Florencia, then he would return to talk about the farm.

My uncle came back to the farm. On his way back, a neighbor warned him the guerrilla would kill him. He didn’t listen. The guerrilla killed him in his farm and buried him in a pit.

When his daughter learned that he was killed, she committed suicide.

We haven’t been able to give my uncle a proper burial. He is a missing person.
