You can’t have babies there. The only children that can be born are the commander’s children. No one else.
My son was big. I felt him. Five months. And they caught me while bathing. My plan was to run away and have the baby, but then they found out and I couldn’t, so they took me to that health clinic.
This here is me. And this is an abortion I had, because there you can’t have babies; they forced you to have an abortion there, and if you object they kill you and the baby too. It is like that with the guerrila.
Here my son’s father realizing what was going to happen, so he objected and look what happened to him. They killed him. He was about 28 years old, he was very young too. His name was Eduardo. People called him “Duende”.
And the medic, the one who took my baby out, was killed as well. Right here. Here, inside. He said that the baby was too big, that they should let me have him.
That time I lost two of the people I loved the most, my son and my son’s father. I was like 16 years old. My first baby. I will never forget that! I will never forget what I have lived!
